Help us to keep the 4 horseman of the apocalypse at bay by making a spooktacular Sleepy hollow tree, a bat & a pumpkin. Join our fangtastic volunteer, Bill in this fun crafting session where you will make a tree out of pipe cleaners creepy enough to scare all the ghouls away as well as taking away a fiendishly fun activity booklet to enjoy around site.

Great fun for the kids! Tread through the crispy Autumn leaves to find The Sculpture Garden ghosts and solve the hidden clues. If you dress up in your spookiest Halloween costume, you'll also receive a sweet treat before you enter!
If you venture down to High Force Waterfall this Halloween, you’ll find a series of spine-tingling clues along our woodland walk. Can you collect them all, solve the puzzle and make it all the way back to the Hotel? Why not indulge in a delicious treat for completing your spooky mission?

Your ghost hunt at Beaumanor Hall will see you exploring this location in the dark when everybody else you know has gone to bed. On your ghost hunt you will be able to experience glass divination, table tipping and a group human pendulum experiment. Plus, for those comfortable enough Ouija boards will also be available for you to use. All to aid your communication with the dead.

This outstanding red brick school which is a Herefordshire landmark gothic building was built around the late 1850's . The school, among many other buildings and houses were under the George Jarvis charity, the school offered boarding since the day of opening, this was aimed for the benefit of children who came from a poor family.
It's no surprise that a building of this age with a rich history is rumoured to be so haunted . The locals often speak about the ghostly man looking out of the top floor window…

Are you ready for a spooktacular Halloween? Join us for hot chocolate, gingerbread, and Halloween crafts in our cosy Learning Space. Children will have fun dressing up in Georgian costumes while learning about the Wordsworths and hearing some of their writing. At twilight we’ll all head over to Dove Cottage and listen to some spooky Cumbrian stories – perfect for a special Halloween in the Lake District!

4 tours every night - 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm from Wednesday, 20th October to Sunday, 31st October (excluding Sunday 24th October).
The tours are designed to be scary but fun. Although not recommended for children 13 and under, we leave it up to parents to decide as you know your children best!
